So this series went from an absolute high point in the second act to the shit show that is the third with the lowest point in the series being his “love” confession and I put that shit in quotes cuz by anime standards that shit was lame they’ve been building up for a while that he was growing feelings for tomori without showing at all how she rlly felt about him and the one moment we did have that felt like it when she was watching over him when his sister died was completely retconned by the next episode when he went back in time and changed it but ofc he keeps his memories of the event so his love for her is totally still there right even tho it’s never shown right wats that thing critics always say about exposition dumps in movies show don’t tell so y tf are u having him jus out the blue pull a confession out of his ass jus cuz it’s the second to last episode and they needed to wrap that shit up there was no thinking about it there was no despair wondering if she felt the same way hell he wasn’t even a lil embarrassed when he said it full straight face like this man was jus a full on player that could get any girl jus by lookin at them or sum like wat and then they make fun of their own logic for writing tomoris lines as a response to wat he said basically saying that it didn’t make sense as to y he loved her which yea it right tomori it doesn’t gonna steal a line her rq but tomori would be great at anime sins jus saying so not only was the build up to his confession hella slow in the first place it was the. Completely reset for her if there was anything to begin with which was never hinted at and the only reason we could assume she would be the love interest is because other than maybe his little sister she got the most screen time of all the female characters and this ain god damn eromanga sensei is it u fucktard of a writer then u have him confess at the most random time in the most cliche oh it’s cuz I want to protect u because Ig I love you now or sum bs which is a complete break I. Character for him which makes even less sense because she stays in character like go look at toradora a great example of an anime with a couple spawning from pure hatred of each other when ryuji finally gets the courage to tell her his true feelings it was after many episodes of BOTH of them being shown growing as people and how much they care about each other and on top of that she actually said how she felt fists granted he was unconscious and ig nobody told him which is definitely a plot hole but whatever I’m not here to come at toradora which is a masterpiece no no no I’m here for this shit show of a third act granted I’ll give it a slight pass as their romance is only a sub plot as this isn’t a romance anime but it’s been hinted and jokes at since tomori met his Lil sister so they have no excuse for not having fully flushed this out and making it a great thing back to the toradora example when ryuji asks out taiga he’s scared shitless knowing that there’s a 50/50 chance she slaps the shit out of him and storms off so there’s sum tension that we can feel then we see taigas initial reaction which is her being dumbfounded and surprised u then see him get even more scarred cuz she didn’t say anything right away and then boom emotions from BOTH SIDES and u get a great moment so why in the actual fuck are neither do them showing any emotion I was rlly lookin forward to this sub plot being explored but they way they handled this the writers I mean btw not the studio itself as they were obviously following some other work like a ln or manga unless the source material is completely different in which case fuck u uh a1 I think right anyway I’m done I do not want a second season if this is how they gon deal wit they lil love but I’d rather see tojaka and yusarin than this bs anyway I’m out and I’m pissed oh and I wanna know wat y’all think if u read all the way through my rant
