Genevieve nigeria xxx naked - Page 3
completely agree with you. she is very good looking, great figure and all that. but she’s a terrible actress, and the whole oprah reference wasn’t even about her, it was about the industry, and she just happens to be one of the faces of the industry, which is sad, really. but hey, she’s gotta eat, and in today’s recession-stricken world if it pays, then you do it. i really wish nigeria would have a film industry that commands respect, rather than mere attention. senegal, and mali and many other countries around the continent, may not have the sort of exposure on the continent that nigeria does, and perhaps may not have personnel who are as attractive, but they make far better films. we don’t want that though, we just want to have celebs that we can worship and gossip about, so we can feel like we’re catching up with hollywood. enter genevieve nnaji…
Mehn I dey fear una hatred oh. Yourself and the other hater above remind me of those people on youtube who hate Beyonce and say she can’t sing. Anyways if she was a bad actress and was capitalizing on her looks as you have alleged, why does the vast majority of Nigeria, Ghanna, South Africa etc love her. You are implying by your comment that the majority is wrong and you and your minority are right. And if those other countries you named made better movies than Nigeria, why aren’t we hearing from them? Their quality should speak for themselves judging by the fact that quality results in word of mouth and a community of followers. Your point applies in other cases but definitely not this one. How can anyone compare Kim Kardashian to Genevieve? You must be absolutely unaware of what you are on about or stupid or both. KMT.
Genevieve remains one of the best actresses in Nigeria,am not the biggest nollywood fan but i would gladly watch any movie she is in, she doesn’t disappoint, to compare her to talentless kim khardasian is an insult,Genevieve can ACT, end of story.
The above line was taken from the Guest Book on Nigerian movie actress Genevieve Nnaji’s website, www.genevievennaji.com. Yeah, “Genny” is what they call her out here in cyberspace. Or “Gene”. Or “‘Vieve”. Or just “G”. How about that? The star/fan relationship has progressed to first names now. At the writing of this piece, there are 3549 entries in the Guest Book, spanning 355 pages of 10 postings per page. The fans stop by for all shades of reasons, but many, like the fan quoted above, merely come to find out how her day or week is going.
But isn’t Genevieve Nnaji slowly becoming the Nigerian movie industry’s first true superstar? She is transcending stardom into…SUPERSTARDOM! It takes a series of factors to make this possible. Nigerian movies are suddenly earning international attention (acclaim will come later!) for the industry’s ingenuity and resourcefulness amidst a stifling economic environment. The Internet is getting a foothold in Nigeria, and our youngsters are beginning to realize the vast possibilities awaiting them thereon. Nigerians in the Diaspora and Africans have discovered how to connect with the cultures they left behind through watching Nigerian movies, which in turn has led many reputable international publications to do stories on the Nigerian phenomenon (the movies, not 419). Oh, we should not ignore the GSM revolution in Nigeria, the ease of text messaging, the availability of phones to many youngsters who can now yap and yap and yap all day and night about the latest movie and star and…And Genevieve Nnaji, just at the appropriate age of 24, appears to be the front of this national and cross-continental conquest?
These other folks, however, have functioned largely within Nigeria. They are just now being exported as much as Nnaji, but the other factors, those external things that no actor has any control over, did not come together for these most beloved leading ladies at the right age and time. And so they remain enormously popular, makers of the way, but it is Genevieve Nnaji that is benefiting from all the hard work they have done. Nnaji is the one becoming more than a star, the superstar!
To become a superstar, Nnaji has to be exportable, and that she is already. Projects in Ghana, Sierra Leone, London, all over. Nnaji appeals just as warmly to Kenyans and Liberians and South Africans and Ghanaians who avidly watch Nigerian home videos at home and abroad. Genevieve is leading that market into new territories today.
I love Nigerian and my most favorite female stars are Genevieve Nnajiand Richard Mofe Damijo
2. Nigeria's first superstar. NO!!!! Where would you put Taiwo Ajayi Lycett or Joke Silva or Patti Boulaye (or even more recently/currently Sophie Okonedo etc.) Ah! No oooo! Genevieve may have been born in the information age when most tesotosterone-controlled-star-ogling-crook or yahoo-wanna-be can buy internet access it doesnt make her Nigeria's first movie superstar. Purleeeeaaaze!!!
I really do not agree with the fact that Genevieve Nnaji is Nigeria's first movie superstar. I think she is just very lucky. There are actresses that are better than her and actually deserve all this hype alloted to Genevieve. People like Stella Damasus-Aboderin, Chioma Chukwuka and so on. These are people that can cultivate any part and make it theirs. People that speak good english and do not have to force "fone". They represent nigeria in their parts and when it is time for them to take their diction to another level, they do so effortlessly and gracefully unlike Genevieve. I would really appreciate it if the movie industry could scrap her because she makes herself seem perfect.
